Five Nights at Freddy’s World Comes to PC in February Mobile Versions Coming Later

Since its first release in 2014, the Five Nights at Freddy’s series has taken off with three subsequent sequels and a recently-announced spinoff, with the RPG-inspired Five Nights at Freddy’s World to see its release in the very near future.

Series creator and developer Scott Cawthon revealed in a new post on the Steam Community forums that Five Nights at Freddy’s World will release for PC on February 19th, 2016, with the new spinoff title to see a wildly different take on the franchise compared to the horror-focused previous installments.

Cawthon also detailed that the mobile versions of the title will be coming “in the following weeks” for iOS and Android. A demo of Five Nights at Freddy’s World will be made available prior to release through GameJolt.com.

On a final note, Cawthon also apologized for the delays and lack of updates regarding the spinoff title, explaining that the original machine used to create the previous four games had died, detailing “I had all of my work on FNaF World backed up, of course, but it’s still quite a delay to get a new machine and reconfigure software, etc. I hope to be back up and running soon!”

That also comes in addition to Cawthon recently having a newborn son this week: suffice it to say, getting a new game out on top of computer troubles and having a child is surely a testament to Scott Cawthon’s abilities and willpower.

Five Nights at Freddy’s World will release for PC on February 19th, 2016, followed by releases on iOS and Android shortly after.
